1. First Log in to your app.smarsh.com account
2. Now, from the Users drop-down menu choose the Export option
3. After this click on the Active export option and click on the Export option.
4. Once you have clicked on the Export option choose the File Format

- EML – You can opt for this file format, which is a MIME (RFC 882) based file used by Outlook Express.

Note to Remember – The password must be at least eight characters, with one uppercase character and one lowercase character, including a special character.
6. In the next step from the Summary, the option checks the box as per your requirements.
- Generate a CSV summary for messages – Opting for this option you will get all the details like file name, original message sent data, and recipient and sender information.
- Include messages metadata in summary – By opting for this option you will get metadata about Archive Platform messages, such as whether the archive messages were flagged or reviewed.
7. Choose one of the following from the Delivery drop-down menu:

9. Your custom destination. You can deliver the export to a preset location, like an FTP server. New destinations can be added through the export dashboard.
Important Information: The Discovery Module is the only place where you can export to a preset location.
Not Mandatory Steps
1. Enter the names of users who can download the file with the right password in the Share field.
2. If you want to be notified via email when the exported content is available for download, check the box next to the Notification field. There will be notifications for shared users as well.
3. Once all the tasks are done, click on Create Export.
